Partner JC Walker and Scientist Dr. Matt Harney will present "Demystifying Labeling and LCA" at the Refocus Recycling Summit and Expo in Orlando, Florida on April 27. Attendees will learn the boundaries of claims around recyclability, recycled content, biodegradability, those "free" claims (aka BPA free), and an update on the proper use of the Resin ID Codes (RIC). The session will also include a step-by-step introduction to life cycle assessment (LCA) which is a scientific technique for evaluating the impacts of product systems that are increasingly being used in labeling and certification programs.
