In Memoriam: Michael F. Morrone

It is with great sadness that we announce that our dear friend and colleague Michael Morrone passed away on October 23, 2022. Mike joined the firm in August 1974 working in Keller and Heckman’s Telecommunications Practice Group. He retired from the firm as a Partner in December 2013.

Mike spent his extensive career practicing transportation, telecommunications, business counseling, and transactional law. With respect to his involvement in the business counseling and transactional practice, Mike assisted telecommunications clients in negotiating equipment financing and working capital loans, the securing of construction and system management services, the entry into tower and antenna site leases, the acquisition of telecommunications licenses and systems, and the divestiture of assets. Mike also worked closely with transportation clients, as they relied upon him to advise on and negotiate their motor carriage contracts, as well as agreements for transportation property broker services.

Just as important as Mike’s standing in the legal community, he was a model of integrity, good humor, common sense, and what it means to be a partner and friend. We are grateful for Mike’s high level of service to our firm and our clients and for his decades of leadership and guidance, which will be a continuing inspiration.
