Keller and Heckman’s Shanghai Food and Drug Team Recognized in 2025 Chambers Greater China Guide

Keller and Heckman LLP continues its reign as a global Food and Drug law firm upholding its Band 4 ranking in the 2025 Chambers Greater China Guide in the area of Life Sciences (International Firms). Additionally, Partner David Ettinger maintained his Band 3 ranking, and Counsel, Keller and Heckman Representative Office, Jenny Li was elevated to Up and Coming.

Keller and Heckman’s Food and Drug team in the Shanghai Representative Office consists of attorneys and scientists who are “incredibly knowledgeable on food regulations” and adept at advising on a variety of compliance and regulatory matters, including obtaining clearance and approval for alternative proteins and other novel foods, food additives, food packaging materials, drugs, and medical devices within Asia-Pacific.

This is the ninth consecutive year David Ettinger has received a Chambers ranking. As the chief representative in Keller and Heckman’s Shanghai office, David’s global experience uniquely positions him to counsel companies when navigating the regulatory landscape in Asia. David advises multinational companies on food (with a unique emphasis on alternative proteins, including plant- and cell-based foods), food packaging, and consumer and tobacco-related products. “I really feel lucky to have met David Ettinger,” stated the client feedback portion of the Guide. “He possesses all the capabilities I need.”

Jenny Li received her inaugural ranking as Up and Coming for her exceptional ability to help clients anticipate and successfully adapt the future regulatory and policy trends affecting clients’ businesses. She has vast experience assisting with food, beverage, and agriculture regulatory compliance issues throughout the product life cycle, from product composition, labeling, and advertising to product approval, import/export, and post-market obligations. Client feedback in the Guide recognizes Jenny as “excellent to work with” and “extremely responsive and thorough.”

Along with Keller and Heckman’s inclusion in the Chambers Greater China Guide, the firm’s international Food and Drug Practice earns notable rankings annually in the Chambers USA Guide and Chambers Europe Guide. These additional rankings further demonstrate Keller and Heckman’s international standing as a leader in the food, drug, and packaging law industries.
