Keller and Heckman’s Brussels Office Celebrates 30th Anniversary
Global law firm celebrates 30 years in the EU
Brussels, Belgium — Keller and Heckman LLP, an internationally renowned law firm with a broad practice in the areas of regulatory law, public policy, and litigation, celebrates the 30th anniversary opening of its Brussels, Belgium office.
To accommodate its clients’ increasing need for representation in the European Union, the Brussels office opened in 1992 as Keller and Heckman’s first international office. Today, the Brussels office is comprised of a diverse team of attorneys and scientists collaborating to meet the demands of clients in the EU and around the globe. Its client base includes international companies and trade associations servicing a range of industries, including food and food additives, plastics, pesticides, industrial and specialty chemicals, consumer products, drug and medical devices, transportation, technology, and telecommunications.
“I was very fortunate to be affiliated with Keller and Heckman very early in my career and joined the Brussels office in 1997. Keller and Heckman has always been at the forefront of international regulations and our clients look to us because they know we have the capabilities to help them navigate global jurisdictions,” said Rachida Semail, managing partner of the Brussels office. “The work has always been challenging and evolving, but we ultimately excel at finding solutions to the complex business issues our clients face. This year, Keller and Heckman also celebrates its founding 60 years ago in Washington, DC. These impressive milestones provide an opportunity for the firm to reflect upon its growth and expansion since its founding in 1962 by Joseph E. Keller and Jerome H. Heckman. Since then, the firm has grown organically to meet clients’ needs in dealing with international regulatory agencies, expanding to San Francisco, California, Shanghai, China, and Boulder, Colorado in addition to Washington, DC, and Brussels.
Keller and Heckman is proud of its accomplishments for this first 60 years and is honored to have had the opportunity to represent its many clients doing business in Europe these past 30 years.
