According to Lawrence, the court’s ruling follows past legal precedent on the question of if health and safety rule exceptions place “undue hardship on employers.” This precedent may also help defend against impending challenges to the Occupational Safety and Health Administration’s (OSHA) emergency temporary standard (ETS).
