Herb Estreicher Quoted in Chemical Watch Article on EPA Looking to Expand Expedited TSCA New Chemical Reviews
Keller and Heckman Partner Herb Estreicher was quoted in the Chemical Watch article, “US EPA considers expanding expedited TSCA new chemical reviews for semiconductor, other sectors.” The article indicates that the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has started to consider expanding a blueprint for streamlining Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA) pre-market evaluations for photoacid generators (PAG). Herb predicted further “consent agreements for substances that are essential to combatting climate change, military and space applications [and] critical infrastructure.” However, he also added that “the downside is likely more restrictions with a one-size-fits-all approach.”
