Herb Estreicher Cited in Article on Tracking Science Use

Keller and Heckman Partner Herb Estreicher was cited in the Bloomberg Law article, “Chemical Companies Tracking Transatlantic Trade Negotiations, Science Use, K-REACH.” The article notes that tracking the Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership (T-TIP) and the expanding number of laws and regulations governing chemicals made and sold outside the United States will be critical for chemical manufacturers in 2014.

Import duties for chemicals are low—about 3 percent—on both sides of the Atlantic. Nonetheless, multinational companies could save about $1.5 billion if they did not have to pay the duties when shipping chemicals within their own organizations.
