David Fischer Quoted in InsideEPA Article on EPA Restricting its Expansion of Chemical Reporting to EtO

Keller and Heckman Counsel David Fischer was quoted in the InsideEPA article “Despite Calls to Broaden TRI, EPA Seen Limiting Novel Expansion to EtO.” The article details that even though environmentalists have encouraged the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to use their authority to expand chemical use reporting, the Agency has only added narrow provisions under the Toxics Release Inventory (TRI) to assess sites releasing the carcinogen ethylene oxide (EtO). When discussing EPA’s information collection request (ICR) David said, “If I were going to mess with the ICR, I would put in something you can use on a grander scale” instead of the Agency limiting its own authority.
