David Fischer Quoted in Inside TSCA Article on TSCA Sustainability
Keller and Heckman Counsel David Fischer was quoted in the Inside TSCA article, “Fischer Says EPA TSCA Process ‘Not Sustainable’ as Workload Escalates.” The article discusses comments made by David during the Keller and Heckman TSCA 30/30 webinar on April 7. The former deputy chief of the Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA’s) chemicals office said the way EPA conducted the first 10 TSCA chemical evaluations is “not sustainable” in the long term, warning that staff constraints and the structure of the 2016 Frank R. Lautenberg Chemical Safety Act for the 21st Century (Lautenberg Act) meant officials had little opportunity to plan for its requirement last year to double the number of chemicals under review.
