David Fischer Quoted in Bloomberg Law Article on Expected Changes to U.S. Chemical Policies
Keller and Heckman Counsel David Fischer was quoted in the Bloomberg Law article, “Swift Changes to US Chemical Policies Expected Under Trump.” The article notes that certain U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) policies are expected to change under the Trump administration.
According to David, “Those changes will occur faster than during the first Trump administration, due to experience implementing the 2016 Toxic Substances Control Act amendments that changed the nation’s primary commercial chemicals law. The new policies will be crafted with perspectives from small businesses and industrial sectors that have a greater appreciation for how amended TSCA affects their operations,” he added.
“Making policy changes, however, requires staff,” said David. David emphasized the importance of creating an environment where employees feel their jobs are rewarding. “If you create a climate where you’ve scared everybody off and you can’t hire career staff, well, you might have all sorts of really cool ideas, but you’re not going to get them implemented,” he concluded.
