David Fischer Cited in Article About EPA Staffers Eyeing New Test Orders to Support TSCA Evaluations
Keller and Heckman Counsel David Fischer was cited in the Inside TSCA article, “Staffers Eye New Test Orders to Support TSCA Evaluations In ‘Near Future’.” The article discusses how EPA staff are working on a new round of TSCA testing orders for some of the 20 chemicals in the agency’s second round of risk evaluations and could issue them “in the near future,” based in part on a review of whether the nine orders Trump officials released before the transition were broad enough to fully support those studies.
During a June 29 online electronics industry conference, EPA staffers told attendees that they are developing Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA) section 4 test orders for the 11 chemicals under evaluation that are not already subject to test mandates. They are also reconsidering whether the nine Trump-era orders left “additional testing needs” requiring supplemental action.
