Keller and Heckman Counsel David Fischer authored the Taxation and Regulation of Financial Institutions journal article, “The HSBC Bank Settlement – Revisiting Lender Liability.” The article discusses how lending institutions need to understand new and evolving environmental risks, such as climate change, that were not contemplated only a few years ago, and how environmental liability risks can be costly, yet potentially avoidable, by ensuring that environmental risk management is integrated into an institution’s prudent lending practices.
