Understanding the OSHA Temporary Worker Initiative

OSHA released a memorandum on April 29th that told inspectors to pay more attention to issues involving temporary workers.  The number of inspections of temporary staffing agencies has doubled.  On November 20, 2013, the Keller and Heckman OSHA Practice held a webinar highlighting the below:

•           Understanding OSHA’s enforcement position and strategy;

•           How the multi-employer worksite doctrine impacts use of temporary workers;

•           How this affects employers who use temporary worker agencies; and

•           What employers should do to manage their compliance programs.
