Telecom Predictions for 2014 -- Vol XI Issue 2
Although predicting the future is always a tricky business, the attorneys of Keller and Heckman LLP offer the following predictions for 2014 in the world of telecommunications.
“Since the FCC is unwilling to allocate new broadband spectrum for use by oil and gas companies, electric utilities, and others in the critical infrastructure community, perhaps 2014 will be the year private industry steps forward to address the problem.”

“Expect an increase in private lawsuits (class actions in particular), more enforcement by federal and state agencies, and more collaboration among the states arising out of privacy violations and data breaches.
