Partner Peter Craddock Created DeFine, a Tool that Calculates the “Starting Amount” for GDPR Fines

Keller and Heckman Partner Peter Craddock created a tool, called DeFine, that calculates the “starting amount” for General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) fines according to the European Data Protection Board’s (EDPB) Guidelines, as of May 12, 2022. The tool aims to help organizations by providing insights and understanding of the EDPB’s proposed methodology and calculated expectations for administrative fines (see Chapter 4 of Guidelines 04/2022). Peter continues to monitor changes to the Guidelines and will make updates accordingly.
