Chemical Legislation in Wisconsin

Ban on BPA in Baby Bottles

On March 3, 2010, the Wisconsin legislature enacted a ban on child’s containers in which BPA is present at any level. The ban applies to any child’s container, an empty baby bottle, or spill-proof cup primarily intended for use by children three years of age or younger. The law prohibits the manufacture, sale, or offer for sale of BPA-containing child’s containers. Any child’s container intended for retail sale must be labeled as not containing BPA.
