Beyond the CAF II Auction: FCC Proposes a $20.6 Billion Rural Development Opportunity Fund

Congress, the Federal Communications Commission, and Executive Branch departments are aligned in promoting broadband Internet access service in underserved and unserved communities, particularly in rural areas.  Steady advances in technology and a growing ecosystem of suppliers increasingly support broadband deployment.
