FCC Enforcement
The attorneys in Keller and Heckman’s Telecommunications practice provide comprehensive advice regarding compliance with the Communications Act and FCC regulations, with the goal of avoiding FCC enforcement actions. To that end, we strategize with service providers, critical infrastructure companies, and other clients to develop workable plans to ensure ongoing compliance with the agency’s rules.
Should an FCC enforcement action arise, we collaborate closely with affected clients through all phases of the investigation. This includes counseling clients with responding to FCC Letters of Inquiry (LOI), negotiating reductions or eliminations of monetary forfeitures, and managing expected Compliance Plans and ongoing certification obligations. Our experience with enforcement proceedings spans a host of FCC-related rules, including wireless spectrum, communications towers, pole attachments, Universal Service Fund obligations, 911 reliability rules, Network Outage Reporting, mergers and acquisitions, and others.
