Partner Sean Stokes and Senior Counsel Jim Baller to Present at Broadband Communities Summit West 2024

Keller and Heckman Partner Sean Stokes and Senior Counsel Jim Baller will present at Broadband Communities Summit West 2024, to be held in San Diego, California, on October 30-31, 2024. Jim will provide the Keynote to the Strategy Track on October 30. On October 31, Sean will serve as a moderator for the panel “A Tale of Two Success Stories - AltonWorks Fiber Net, Alton IL, and Culver Connect, Culver City, CA,” which will provide more insights into the goals and objectives of the networks, as well as lessons learned. 

Jim and Sean will also be speaking on the topic “Overcoming the Legal Challenges of Community Broadband Deployments” on October 31. This presentation will discuss the legal authority for municipals and coops to participate in community broadband, ROW access, pole access, dark fiber leasing, tax and bond issues, key regulatory issues, Chevron, bulk billing, and other emerging matters.
