Navigating 900 MHz Rebanding
Join Keller and Heckman partners Greg Kunkle and Wes Wright for a complimentary webinar, Navigating 900 MHz Rebanding, on Thursday, September 24 at 12:00pm EDT.
In May the FCC adopted a Report and Order to enable a broadband service in the 896-901/935-940 MHz band (“900 MHz Band”). The broadband service will be a 3 MHz x 3 MHz allocation and the remaining 2 MHz x 2 MHz blocks will be retained for narrowband voice operations. The narrowband segments consist of 158 paired, 12.5 kHz channels. Anterix – the presumptive licensee of the broadband segment – has already started reaching out to incumbent 900 MHz licensees to discuss voluntarily relocating these licensees out of the broadband segment of the 900 MHz band.
We will discuss:
- Background on the 900 MHz Band
- Updated Band Plan
- Negotiating with Anterix
- Obtaining 900 MHz Broadband Service
