Doug Jarrett served on the panel "CAF II - Current Issues and the Impact to States." at the National Association of Regulatory Commissioner (NARUC) Winter Committee Meetings on February 13th in Washington, DC. NARUC meetings offer members and attendees the latest information from US Federal policymakers, consumer advocates, industry officials, and other stakeholders. Members shared best regulatory practices and confronted numerous challenges facing the regulated utility sectors. The Connect America Fund (CAF II) supports the deployment of a modern network capable of providing voice and broadband in high cost areas of the country within cost benchmarks, particularly rural and tribal areas.
