Chen Hu assists our attorneys and their foreign and domestic clients in the areas of food, food packaging, and chemical control with regulatory compliance matters in China, Japan, Korea, Taiwan, and other Asian countries. He keeps up with the fast-developing laws, regulations, and technical standards in these regions and brings extensive experience in seeking clearances for new products. He has prepared and submitted hundreds of Chinese applications for pre-market registration of food packaging materials, food additives, new food ingredients, and new chemical substances, and successfully helped clients in bringing the products to the Chinese market.

Chen works closely with government authorities and trade associations in various phases of regulatory development. He has participated in working groups for various food contact standards in China and has helped clients relay comments to the authorities. He is also experienced in auditing plant facilities for food and food packaging manufacturers.
