Marcus Navin-Jones and Devon Hill will attend the 2017 Plastics Industry Association Food Packaging Summit, taking place from November 8 – 10 in Austin, TX

This Keller and Heckman sponsored event will bring together industry stakeholders from both the US and the EU to discuss the methods for evaluating impurities in food-contact materials, explore the similarities and differences between domestic and international manufacturers, highlight the current landscape surrounding suspected endocrine disruptors, and demo PLASTICS’ innovative advocacy toolkit.

Kicking off with a service project, during which participants will assist in the cleanup and restoration of Austin’s beautiful Lady Bird Lake, this summit will cover a wide range of topics critical to professionals specializing in food packaging and regulatory affairs.

Marcus will present on the “Shift in EU Chemicals Regulation to Focus on Impurities and Breakdown Products” on Thursday, November 9. Marcus’s presentation will be featured in Part I of the summit, entitled “Impurities in Food Contact Materials: Approaches to Evaluating Risk in the US and EU.”
