Dick Leighton is a trial and appellate lawyer as well as a commercial arbitrator and mediator. He has a national practice representing business and trade association clients before federal and state courts, regulatory and self-regulatory bodies, legislative committees, and alternative dispute resolution forums. Mr. Leighton is most frequently involved in food, drug, environmental, and contract issues, especially those related to advertising, labeling, promotion, trademarks, and franchising.
Mr. Leighton is the co-author of U.S. Direct Marketing Law: The Complete Handbook for Managers and the author of many law review articles. He is a Senior Fellow of the Administrative Conference of the United States, he has been named by Washingtonian Magazine as one of the "50 Best Lawyers" in Washington and is listed in Who's Who and Who's Who in American Law.
