Keller and Heckman understands telecommunications and networking from the enterprise perspective. We represent enterprise customers in negotiating WAN agreements with the major domestic and international carriers and wireless agreements with domestic mobile providers, including wireless requirements associated with M2M/IoT requirements and in-building DAS arrangements.
We work with in-house counsel, enterprise procurement groups and leading telecom consultants on major services procurements, advising on the legal elements of RFPs, implementing the agreed upon business terms and revising the carriers’ one-sided agreements to better reflect and balance the business and legal risks, including the challenges and nuances associated with dispute resolution and migrating to successor service providers and new technologies, such as SIP, secure access to cloud-resources and content delivery services.
Our transactional expertise is complemented by our knowledge of applicable FCC rules and policies that impact enterprise procurements. We work with attorneys from the firm’s Internet and Privacy Practice on cyber and security risk issues and in developing guidance on BYOD policies. We address the legal, cyber and operational risks associated with M2M/Industrial Internet deployments and represent residential communities in negotiating data, video and voice access, bulk service and exclusive marketing agreements.
